Wendy Talbot

Welcome — I’m Wendy Talbot, an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and confidence.

I work with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older adults. I have a strong background working with children in both therapeutic and educational settings, supporting them through challenges such as anxiety, emotional regulation, behavior concerns, and family transitions. I also enjoy working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to strengthen family relationships and communication.

My therapeutic approach is warm, affirming, and solution-focused. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities including:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Grief counseling

Whether you are working through trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to meet you with empathy and support while helping you build the tools to move forward.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change. You already hold the strength to heal — my role is to help you access it.
Outside the therapy room, I love to travel, explore new cultures, and dive into a good book. These experiences deepen my appreciation for people’s unique stories and strengthen my commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive care.

If you’re ready to begin your healing journey — or support a child or family member in theirs — I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
