Teresa Willie
Life can be challenging, and it can be rich and rewarding. I believe that despite life’s challenges, people can find joy and healing in their journey. I have spent many years working in the mental health field as a Prevention Specialist, helping individuals learn to reach their potential and live their best life. I believe in a strength-based approach and work collaboratively with clients to foster resilience and personal growth.
Several years ago, I returned to school to pursue my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Suicide Ideation, Grief, Trauma, Self-Esteem, Coping Skills, and Body Image. I tailor therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of my clients. My expertise includes the following evidence-based modalities: CBT, DBT, EMDR, and MI.
My philosophy is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and an unwavering commitment to creating a safe and inclusive space for healing. Whether addressing life’s challenges, or striving to live your authentic life, I will accompany you on your journey to create meaningful and sustainable change.
I also believe in working hard and playing with intention. In my free time, I enjoy all things outdoors including hiking, scuba diving, paddleboarding, spending time with my adult kids, and walking my little rescue buddy, Tucker.
