Tana Frey, CMHC, CSAT

Tana Frey is a Clinical Mental Health Therapist who has been working in the adolescent treatment industry since 2004 in a variety of settings including wilderness therapy, residential treatment, transitional boarding schools, intensive outpatient therapy, and private practice. Her years of experience working within adolescent treatment allows her to bring unique experiences and knowledge to her therapy. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Outdoor Recreation and received her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Tana decided she wanted to focus on sexual behavioral issues and addictions in 2005 when she noticed a growing trend with the adolescents she was working with surrounding their increased sexual behaviors. In 2021 she completed and became a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and now she specializes in working with sexual addiction, problematic sexual issues/behaviors, trauma, and attachment.
Tana’s experiences include working with youth and their families struggling with substance use, oppositional defiance, trauma, sexual abuse and sexual dependency, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and processing addictions and dependencies (video games, technology, etc.). Her years working with adolescents in the wilderness as a field instructor have allowed her to learn and train under many different therapists which has enabled her to develop a strength and style of individualized therapy for all her clients. Tana utilizes an eclectic model in her therapy sessions and seeks to work with her clients in ways that make sense to them. Tana enjoys more experiential methods of treatment and will typically be found using art, music, creating, and play as a tool in her therapy sessions.

Tana sees clients in our Hurricane, St. George, and Hildale locations and via telehealth.
