Jess Hedgepeth

The spark for clinical work came in 2007 while working as a Case Manager at a Residential Treatment Center for teens in beautiful St George, Utah. I’ve had two beautiful children since then— who are my world. I then became a licensed counselor in 2012.

I’ve worked in private practice, outpatient and inpatient, directed the Intake Department at Haven Healthcare Center, and managed mental health intake at the State Prison Complex in Phoenix. I take my education seriously and want to provide you with excellent mental health services. I am currently working to obtain my certification in Art Therapy. I am also studying to become a Holistic Health Practitioner through International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine.

My life experiences have turned into my passions which fueled my training and specialities. I became Certified in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International in 2022. I love helping women heal their mental health in pregnancy and postpartum.

My theoretical framework is based largely on attachment & systems theory. I studied Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness & Self Compassion, Trauma Informed Yoga, Brain-spotting— among others.

First & foremost, I’m a HUMAN. I’ve suffered. It’s difficult sometimes to reach out or find the right fit. I’ve sat across from inmates with life sentences processing their trauma, played with families on the floor of an Inpatient wing dedicated to Autism, and sat on the couch of a Mom experiencing suicidal thoughts with a newborn in her arms.

I’ve seen and done a lot. Nothing is going to scare me. I’m not judging ever— and I got you.

I empower my clients to find healing through their intuition, their voice, their needs & their OWN resilient spirit. I’m a guide. I’m no better than you. I AM YOU. We are just in a certain role when you sit across from me.

If you feel brave enough to reach out to me— I value our connection. This work is more than a job to me. It’s a life’s work. A calling.
The light in me honors the light in you.
