Brenda Evans

You’ve spent so much time surviving, staying strong, or holding it together for everyone else that you may not even remember what it feels like to truly feel safe, connected, or at peace within yourself. Whether you’re carrying the weight of trauma, chronic stress, burnout, hypervigilance, relationship wounds, or experiences that still live in your body long after they’ve ended, therapy can become a place to finally slow down, breathe, and begin healing in a deeper way.

I am a trauma-informed clinician with experience working in domestic violence and sexual assault response, street-based crisis intervention, and private practice settings. I specialize in helping individuals who have lived through high-stress, traumatic, or emotionally overwhelming experiences—including first responders, survivors of abuse, and those navigating complex trauma and nervous system dysregulation. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and direct, creating a space where clients can feel safe without feeling judged, pathologized, or pushed before they are ready.

My work integrates evidence-based approaches including EMDR, somatic practices, mind-body bridging, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and family systems. I believe healing is not just about talking through what happened, but learning how to reconnect with yourself, restore safety within your body, and move out of survival mode. Together, we work toward greater emotional regulation, healthier relationships, renewed self-trust, and a life that feels more empowered, connected, and authentically your own.
