Mary Nell Lundquist, MPC, ACMHC

I am thrilled to be a part of the S & S Counseling family. I am the mother of four grown children and four incredible grandchildren. I have worked in the early childhood development field for many years. I am DIR Floortime certified and CSPD credentialed. I earned my Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Knowing that all behavior makes sense, I look forward to that moment when the missing piece falls into place. We know that talking through trauma is a safe and effective way to understand why we feel the way we do at times. I use the analogy of a “Jack in the Box” where our feelings, like the spring, are pushed down until we can close the lid. However, like the toy, the lid pops up and our feelings spring out leaving us and others confused and out of control. Understanding what we are feeling and why gives us the power to control ourselves through the breath, talking, and reconciling our behaviors. The ability to be congruent with our feelings and behaviors leads to trust from others and a healthy and fulfilling future.

Mary Nell sees clients in our St. George and Hildale locations and via telehealth.
